BenOmon Development initiative is a Non-Governmental Organization that is borne out of the need to help the less privileged in the society, especially in Ugbegun, Esan Central LGA, Edo State. The founder, High Chief Sylvester Omoigberale, Ph.D is an indigene of Ugbegun, that has passion for the less privileged. Having gone through a life of self-determination and the impulsive need to succeed in life, which he got from his father, he felt like impacting lives positively in his community, to the service of mankind, with the help of God.

The main driving force that initiated and triggered the urge to embark on this project of improving the lives of the young ones in Ugbegun community in particular, and Esanland in general, is the fact that his father was a farmer who embraced western education, even though he was not educated. He made sure he trained all his eight children through university level and this had become a reference point in the community. When he married his father’s determination with the level of education in his community, he felt highly challenged that the zeal in his father could be extended to the community as well and this should be more in him, having enjoyed the privileges of education.
